Major League Baseball's Field of Dreams game takes two of the game's iconic teams - the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox - and places them in an Iowa cornfield, near the site of the classic 1989 movie.
James Earl Jones' speech is timeless - “America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game -- it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again.”
The late Jim Bouton put it into perspective as well - “You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time.”
